Elite Development making waves
Since the founding of Elite Advanced Development Centres in 1999 the organisation has become nationwide working with a number of proffessional clubs. The set up originated in Plymouth run in conjunction with Plymouth Argyles centre of excellence and has the very best team of coaches from within the area unmatched by anyone else, which is why the centre is still one of the strongest in terms of player development, quality of players, and production of players to proffessional clubs Elite now have 9 centres currently open accross the country working with Torquay United in Dawlish, Bristol City in Taunton, Swindon Town in Warminster and Hungerford, Cheltenham Town in Dursley, and another new club to come onboard Notts County in Tamworth, Wolverhampton, and Walsall taking over from Walsall Football Club in those areas. Director of Elite Stuart Henderson (pictured right with Sven Goran Eriksson) has also set up links with Darlington Football Club and Barnsley Football Club with centres opening for those clubs in the coming months. Over the next year it is anticipated that Elite will run over 20 development centres opening in Cornwall, South Molton, Leeds, Sheffield, Stockport, Peterlee, Gateshead, Durham, Cotswold, Chesterfield, Leicestershire, Doncaster, Wakefield, Middlesborough and Coventry as areas identified by some of the clubs Elite work with. The developments shall enhance the experience of the players with us from Plymouth increasing our games program and gaining valuable experience of playing in other areas of the UK against some of the countries most promising youngsters.
