About Dave Leonard:
The Director of Coaching in Plymouth and Head of Coaching at Ivybridge College. Dave Leonard was Centre of Excellence Manager at Plymouth Argyle 2005 to 2006 and his role entailed the management of 12 FA registered coaches, assisting the Director of Youth in coaching 17-19 year old scholars, co-ordinating the Centre of Excellence games programme for 12-15 year olds in liaison with other professional football clubs and liaising with Youth Development Officer on scouting policy. Dave was also a Centre of Excellence Youth Coach at Plymouth Argyle from 1998 to 2006.

Martin is a UEFA B coach has worked with Plymouth Argyle Centre of Excellence and also worked full time for Sunderland’s F.C Academy in the North East. His wealth of experience at both academy and centre of excellence level is valuable to the centre.

About Karl Curtis:
Karl is our under 13's coach and has seen his squad progress well throughout the year with some impressive performances. Karl plays for Plymouth Parkway and currently holds his UEFA 'B' licence coaching badge. Karl is the Sports Development Officer in Torpoint for the YMCA and has a range of qualities he brings to the centre. His enthusiasm and characture rubs off in his sessions and he is able to get the very best from his squads. |  Karl Curtis |

About Karl Blacker:
Karl has had lots of experience working with many age groups inside and outside of Elite. He currently coaches in Plymouth as well as covering the administration at our centres. Karl is also heavily involved in girls football in Plymouth as well as running successful boys teams. Karl as a player represented Cornwall County as well as being picked up going for trials at Watford, Southampton and Plymouth Argyle. Karl has played against Manchester City, Leicester City, Exeter City and Plymouth Argyles first teams gaining valuable experience before breaking his leg putting him out of the game for 3 years which is when he turned his attentions to coaching.

About Mike James:
Mike is a local coach who currently holds his level 3 (UEFA B) certificate. Mike heads a coaching team for a junior side in Plymouth helping them work towards chartered development status. He has played at a high level of football in the North West of England playing from the age of 14 for Manchester City and Wigan schoolboys as well as representing Lancashire and Greater Manchester. At 18 Mike went to various other clubs for trial Manchester United, Blackpool, Birmingham, Ipswich and Wigan. Mike picked up an Achilles injury whilst playing semi professional football which is when he turned his attentions to coaching.

Marc Davis has joined the coaching team to assist in the under 11's and 10's age groups. Marc is a level two qualified coach and has also qualified for age specific training for these age groups. He is involved within youth football in Plymouth and is an official Torquay United Scout for the area. | |
